“Don’t bend; don’t water it down; don’t try to make it logical; don’t edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly.”

– Franz Kafka

She’s been reading all her life, about amazing places with waterfalls and prairies, of the desert, of places unknown, she’s lived many lives, gone on adventures, discovered the secrets of life, she sniffed the books like perfume, and held onto them like children of her own. Then she sat behind her desk one day and started to write, of countries she wanted to visit, characters she was not, word after word, after word, she built her stories on dreams untold, and kept secrets. She wasn’t like everyone else, and you knew it. It’s hard to go out with someone who’s into writing, you gave her new perspective, different books to read, venturing unknown territories, going through dark forests of melancholy, you guided her in her metamorphosis, and she transformed under your gaze, you told her it was only the start, and saw the gleam in her eyes, a childish twinkle of a little girl getting her first baby doll, and then promised one whole set.

It’s hard to go out with the girl who’s into writing, but it would be worth the while. She doesn’t expect you to be perfect, because she’s the one who knows best that perfect characters are boring. She would like your imperfections, your sinister side, and your mischief, because it’s the plot twists that she craves most, she will worship your wrongdoings, and she will not care about the ending, deep down, that blossoming writer awaits big finales, whether they were tragic and devastating or dreamy.

Be her friend, her lover, her dream, her world.

Go out on a date with the girl who’s into writing, she will make you lose your breath by her charm, she’s compassionate and mysterious, and she has issues, she’s different from any other girl you met, she knows that fairy tales don’t exist, and that life isn’t always going to be great, she’s not going to fled on the first way out, when things go rough, she will be the one who sticks around, she won’t break your heart, but will try to heal your soul and mend all your blistering wounds, she will live life with you as it is, in its ups and downs, through the highs and lows.

She will tell your children amazing stories of princes charming and lands far away, she holds inside her the light of the color spectrum, she holds you deep in her heart, you’d be her reality and her fiction, on paper and in pictures. She’s the girl who reads, the girl who writes, the girl who waited all her life for someone like you.

Be her dream, her reality, her happily ever after…
